As soon as you make contact with me, I will
arrange a mutually convenient date
and time to
visit you to discuss your decorating requirements. This will enable
me to prepare a detailed
Estimate for you, setting out the estimated costs
of labour and materials required
for the job, based on current trade and retail prices.
I receive discounts from some Trade
Suppliers and any discounts that I do receive
are passed on to my
customers. I normally prepare written estimates over the
following my visit. However, if it possible to provide it to
you earlier then I will
try my utmost to do so. Where possible, estimates
will be sent by email
but if you need a printed copy sent by post please just say.
Estimates are provided in good faith and are
based on what I see and what we discuss
during my visit.
However, unforeseen situations can occur from time to time, e.g.
where damaged plaster
might be hidden behind furniture, or beneath existing
wallpaper and not
visible until furniture has been moved and wallpaper removed.
I don't automatically
make any provision for such defects in my costings for estimates,
so if once work has
commenced it becomes apparent that additional labour
and materials will be required, you
will be informed immediately.
We will then discuss what additional charges
might apply so you will
always be kept fully informed every step of the way.
